Thank you to all of the children (and grown ups!) who created some fantastic pieces of homework over February half term. I am so impressed at the creativity and effort put in!
The children enjoyed showing their houses to the whole class this afternoon. They explained how they had built them and which materials they had used.
This half term, our class have been learning all about The Great Fire of London. We have learned about where and when the fire started, why it spread so quickly and compared 1666 to present day.
The Great Fire began in a baker’s shop so yesterday we had a cooking lesson. We carefully followed instructions and used our measuring skills to bake delicious bread rolls.
Last week, Year 2 had great fun making bird feeders for our Bird Watch. After making the bird feeders, we walked around school to count how many different species of birds we could see.
School will be taking part in the Safer Internet Day next Tuesday 5th February. To celebrate this day all children from Nursery to Year 6 will be taking part in lessons and assemblies which aim to help young people understand how to keep themselves safe online.
